A quick drive down the 23.
Moorpark sits about 20 minutes from the Newbury Park kitchen, an easy trip down the 23 for bread that was baked that morning. Pickup is always free.
Place your order online by Thursday night. Friday morning it's baked, Billy texts you when it's ready, and you pick it up on your way through the Conejo Valley: Coyote sourdough, rustic sourdough, milk bread, focaccia, and sourdough cookies.
Everything is made in small Friday batches in a licensed cottage bakery, so nothing is day-old and nothing is trucked in. The sourdough is naturally leavened with a starter that's been going since 2012, and the only preservative is salt.
Moorpark regulars tend to plan pickup around errands in Thousand Oaks or Newbury Park. If you're buying for the week, grab an extra loaf and freeze it sliced.
Fresh bread, Moorpark edition.
Same small Friday batches the whole Conejo Valley orders from, now on your block.
